About- Arugula is a versatile leafy green, with tender leaves that taste of black pepper. This is a great low maintenance green to add to your vegetable garden. Use it as a flavorful substitute for lettuce in salads or sandwiches. 

When and Where to Plant- Direct sow outdoors in early Spring, in full sun or part shade. Cover the seed lightly with soil. 

Care and Harvest- Arugula is very low maintenance, and quite tolerant to a variety of growing conditions. Keep the soil damp but do not overwater. You can begin harvesting Arugula as soon as the plant develops a few leaves. Pinch off individual leaves when they are small and tender. Arugula will bolt as it gets warmer, and the larger the leaves get the more bitter they will be.
