Cascadia Sugar Snap Pea Seeds

Cascadia Sugar Snap Pea Seeds

About- Cascadia Sugar Snap peas are a great new variety. The pods grow plump and tender and have a special flavor all their own. The vines grow 2 1/2-3 feet tall and do not have to be trellised. Harvest the pods when they reach 2½ - 3½ inches, snap them, and prepare them like green beans. Great variety for the freezer.

When and Where to Plant-Ā Select a sunny location and plant in early spring, as soon as the soil can be worked. Cultivate soil and enrich with vegetable food and organic matter. Continue planting at 2 week intervals until mid-spring. Plant again in late summer for a late fall crop. For better germination, firm soil over seed.

Care and Harvest-Ā Grows best in a soil with a pH between 6 and 7, and just a light application of fertilizer. Plants that grow over 24" tall are easier to maintain and pick if they are trellised. Water at ground level to reduce the probability of disease. Pick when seeds have enlarged in the pod and are still bright green. Hold vine while picking to avoid tearing the plant.
